Andy Kimmet

Hi, I’m Andy, a guitar tutor based in Dundee, Scotland. I’ve been playing guitar since I was 12 and have over six years of teaching experience. While I’m most at home with heavier styles, I also enjoy teaching a wide range of genres including fingerstyle blues and even a touch of classical.

I teach both in-person (at Dundee Music Studios or locally, by arrangement) and online, and my approach is fun, structured, and goal-focused—always tailored to what the student wants to achieve, while building solid fundamentals. Whether you’re just starting out or looking to refine your skills, I can help you grow as a player.

I hold a BA2 in Pop Music and am currently completing my degree. Alongside teaching, I write and perform in original bands and have played everything from local gigs to major festivals.

What I love most about teaching is seeing people progress—there’s nothing better than watching someone gain confidence and enjoy the music they’re making.
